National Legal Work and Legal Consulting
Legal Consulting. For those who already have legal counsel, regardless of state, Julie Fershtman can potentially be hired to assist as a legal consultant. For example, she can draft contracts subject to the local lawyers’ review. She can assist other lawyers with potential or pending litigation in state or Federal courts, including developing legal strategies, briefing, witness selection, deposition strategies, and trial preparation.
National Legal Work. Julie Fershtman has handled jury trials in 4 states. (** Restrictions apply for most out-of-state matters.) Approved by state and Federal courts in 21 jurisdictions around the country to actively handle particular cases on a pro hac vice (specially admitted out-of-state counsel) basis.
** What State(s) Does Your Legal Matter Involve?
Why we must know the state(s) involved in your legal matter. Regulations involving the practice of law prevent lawyers from practicing alone in states where they are not licensed. Julie is licensed in Michigan, but clients have entrusted her to handle cases in 21 State and Federal jurisdictions nationwide. For out-of-state clients seeking representation with lawsuits or legal disputes, local counsel may be needed in some capacity. For out-of-state clients who seek contracts, local counsel must approve the drafts.
